Overview
Advancing the state-of-the-art in IT in such applications as cyber security and biometrics, ANL Softek accelerates the development and deployment of systems that are reliable, usable, interoperable, and secure; advances measurement science through innovations in mathematics, statistics, and computer science; and conducts research to develop the measurements and standards infrastructure for emerging information technologies and applications.
IT is often used to describe computers and computer networks, but it also includes all layers of all systems within an organization from the physical hardware to the operating systems, applications, databases, storage, and servers. Telecommunication technologies, including internet, phones, and cellular networks, are also part of an organization’s IT infrastructure.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming our world. Remarkable surges in AI capabilities have led to a wide range of innovations including autonomous vehicles and connected Internet of Things devices in our homes. AI is even contributing to the development of a brain-controlled robotic arm that can help a paralyzed person feel again through complex direct human-brain interfaces. These new AI-enabled systems are revolutionizing and benefitting nearly all aspects of our society and economy – everything from commerce and healthcare to transportation and cybersecurity. But the development and use of the new technologies it brings are not without technical challenges and risks.
Cyber Security
ANL Softek develops cybersecurity standards, guidelines, best practices, and other resources to meet the needs of Indian industry, public agencies and the broader public. Our activities range from producing specific information that organizations can put into practice immediately to longer-term research that anticipates advances in technologies and future challenges.
Internet Of Things (IOT)
ANL Softek understands the importance of the Internet of Things (IoT) and how it impacts our everyday lives in a big way. The IoT could revolutionize the American economy by enabling a fully connected world with on-demand access to data, systems, and each other. Since an IoT product might be defined as including an IoT device and any other product components that are necessary to using the IoT device beyond basic operational features, there are risks that come along with this level of connectivity—especially among so many devices across the globe. We must be able to trust the privacy, security, authenticity, and reliability of these devices, as well as the advanced networks that support them.
